About CNS

CNS is an in-house service supporting Library departments and staff. The unit processes purchases of microcomputer hardware and software, installs and upgrades systems, provides trouble-shooting and repair services, manages most of the Library's servers, and provides consulting support for the purchase, selection, and design of computing systems, components, and software.

Coverage

CNS covers the University Library during all open hours. For immediate computing support at any time, please call 9-2486. This number will reach both libraries. On weekends and evenings, the walkie-talkie frequency can be used at frequency 4, channel 5. For all other problems, please go to http://itrequest.ucsc.edu or email help@ucsc.edu.
