Material Type Additions

Add the following material types to Innopac:

  • i - non-musical recordings
  • k - graphic drawings
  • o- kits
  • r - realia

Technical Services wants to add these to the system so that MARC records imported with these values in the leader are assigned a correct material type fixed field code. Currently, records with these values in the leader are being defaulted to a MAT TYPE of "a- books", which is compromising the usefulness of limiting searches by material type in the Web OPAC.

David Meyer
