The review period for librarians is from February 1st through January 31st of
each year. The following dates have been established for the 2006 librarian
reviews:
Friday, October 14
Librarians notified of review status; reviewers notified
of review responsibilities
Monday, November 14 Candidates
receive review packets
Thursday, December 8
Meeting for all librarians: University Librarian discusses criteria; CAPA documentation
workshop. Room 325, McHenry Library 9:00-10:30.
*Tuesday, January 3
Candidates submit draft documentation and names of suggested
referees. Librarians may request off-year reviews, deferred
reviews or other similar actions.
Reviewers and candidates discuss these documents.
Tuesday, January 10
Reviewers should normally have sent out requests for letters of
reference by this date.
Tuesday, January 24
Letters for internal referees are normally due.
Monday, January 30
Letters from external referees are normally due.
*Monday, January 30
Candidates must submit documentation in final form.
Monday, February 6
Candidates should have received copies of redacted
confidential letters of reference.
* Monday, February 27
DRAFT review file due to the AUL-HR.
* Friday, March 7
Reviews distributed to and discussed with candidates.
*Friday, March 31
Reviews due to the AUL-HR, who distributes to CAPA.
*Monday, May 8
Reviews due to deciding officers.
Deciding
Officer notifies reviewer/CAPA of contrary recommendation, if mandated by PAPA.
Tuesday, June 1
Candidates and reviewers informed of decisions.
*Final date action should take place.
