HAVC 189 o: Mediterranean Cities

HAVC* 189 O, Mediterranean Cities in the 19th and 20th Centuries - taught by Sheila Crane -
will visit the Map Room on April 6th at 8 a.m.
to view maps of the region and the cities they're studying.
* History of Art and Visual Culture

The course focuses on "architecture and urban landscapes in cities including Casablanca, Barcelona, Algiers, Marseille, Athens, and Istanbul. Myths and realities of Mediterranean identity in architecture will be considered through drawings and buildings, photography and film during colonial and postcolonial periods."
